Undergraduate Studies

Welcome to the Department of History's Undergraduate Studies page.

The links on the left hand side of this page will direct you to important information regarding the history major here at UNCG. Here you can find out more about our new Online B.A. in History and Course Offerings (with detailed course information prepared by individual professors). Please consult the relevant sections of UNCG’s University Catalog for major and minor requirements.

We also provide information about exciting opportunities such as Internships and Scholarships, as well as about associated programs that can complement a history degree, including disciplinary Honors in History and, for those interested in teaching school, Social Studies Licensure.

If you are a History major please make sure to read the information on the Advising page. Advising Center takes place for several weeks immediately following the mid-semester break in fall and spring. History majors will be emailed the information about advising prior to the advising period every semester. Please note that in-person or virtual one-on-one advising is required every semester for all our History majors.

If you have any questions about the History major please feel free to contact the Director of Undergraduate Studies. They are available throughout the semester to assist with questions about Social Studies Licensure, transfer credits, study abroad, and anything else related to helping you make the most of your experience as a history major.
